    Destination: San Sebastián
    Sunlounger Stories 2
    (Buy it!)

    Story Synopsis:

Amy Peevey hates to fly, so a wedding in the sunny Spanish town of San Sebastián is a bit of a problem. Lucky there’s someone in the aisle seat to provide a cheeky distraction…

    Sneak peek of story:

‘Peanut?’ In a perfect world, that would be a cute nickname a cute boyfriend calls me.

But in the real world, it’s the bloke in the aisle seat offering me his in-flight snack. OK, so he’s a bit cute but I can’t really contemplate whether he has a touch of the Gosling while my head is just full of ‘WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE IN THIS STEEL COFFIN!’

    SL Q&A Logo

Tell us about the location you chose for your story… San Sebastián – it’s in the Basque region of Spain. I went there once on holiday and fell in love – the food and scenery and culture are just gorgeous. AND I saw Mick Hucknall there. Fact.

Have any of your books featured exotic locations? Sadly, only as exotic as South London! And my current work in progress is set in Windsor, so unless you are a tourist from anywhere outside the UK, that’s not super exciting. But it is fun to sit in a pub, look out the window and see Windsor Castle. Alright, Your Maj?

If you could live anywhere in the world… New York, definitely. A big posh apartment overlooking Central Park, please. I’d have bagels every day, get a cute little miniature dog and walk with Sex and the City swagger.

Which destination have you returned to the most? I’m not sure I have one, boringly! I do love all parts of Italy though – Rome, Venice, Tuscany.

Favourite cuisine of the world? I love Italian food and in particular the way the Italians eat it – they take their time, everything is fresh and made with love, they gossip and laugh and drink without rushing so much as one mouthful. That is style. Plus, they have four courses, which can never be a bad thing. Pass me the gnocchi, please.

Favourite holiday cocktail? A dark and stormy, every time. Ginger beer, rum, ice and angostura bitters. Oh, and a slice of lime.

Best or Worst holiday romance? I did once have a really miserable week in CentreParcs with an ex, but that wasn’t really CentreParcs’ fault.

    Author Bio

Poppy Dolan self-published her first book, THE BAD BOYFRIENDS BOOTCAMP, in 2012 and was amazed that someone other than her mum bought it. It made the Amazon top 100 and no former boyfriends have since come forward to sue.

Her next book, THERE’S MORE TO LIFE THAN CUPCAKES, was published by Novelicious Books in 2013. It’s about baking, babies and not knowing when to grow up.

When she’s not glued to her laptop, Poppy loves cooking, reading and getting emotional over reality TV. She is in her early thirties and lives just outside London with her husband. This summer she will mostly be eat cream teas in Cornwall, sampling clotted cream fudge and wondering why her bikini is suddenly so tight.

You can get in touch with Poppy on Twitter @poppydwriter and on Facebook at PoppyDolanBooks. She doesn’t bite. Unless you are a muffin.
